From the library to the workbench

I am a Stockholm-based business analyst working across corporate actions and business technology. I have also founded a cross-border advisory business, coordinated international academic work and spent years in religious formation. Along the way, I have kept building: an audience, a practice, operational tools and, increasingly, applications developed with AI.

My path has required me to enter unfamiliar worlds and learn their language carefully enough to work within them.

A serious commitment to ideas

Theology was a sustained intellectual formation for me. Patristics, Neoplatonism and scholastic thought opened questions about being, knowledge, moral obligation and the reach of reason. They also demanded detailed work with texts and arguments.

I remain attracted to the ambition of universal knowledge: the effort to understand how different fields illuminate one another while respecting their methods and limits. Logic matters because a compelling sentence can conceal a broken argument. Letters matter because human experience exceeds what a procedure can describe.

My historical interests reach from the late Bronze Age through republican Rome and late antiquity. I read these periods for their own richness, and for the questions they raise about continuity, dependence, reform and decline.

Conviction lived at a cost

At the London Oratory and in Benedictine monastic life, ideas became obligations governing ordinary days. Prayer, study, common life and renunciation demanded consistency. Moral principles acquired weight through what they required me to relinquish.

That experience remains part of my formation. It also made institutional life concrete: the relationship between a rule and its interpretation, the demands of belonging, the exercise of authority and the difficulty of sustaining a shared purpose among different people.

Enterprise and organisation

Founding Ciudadania.io required me to turn specialised knowledge into a service. Documentary accuracy mattered, but so did explaining the process, earning confidence and communicating with people whose decisions depended on the work. Building an audience of more than 50,000 followers taught me something about making difficult subjects accessible.

Business administration and international business gave me a more systematic understanding of enterprise. Organisational theory deepened my interest in how knowledge moves, how routines form and why reasonable plans can fail in practice.

These questions follow me into banking. Financial infrastructure depends on shared standards being interpreted and implemented across institutions with different systems, responsibilities and constraints. Corporate actions gives me a practical vantage point on that coordination and on the work required to improve it.

Building with a wider set of tools

I began automating tasks because I could see repeated work that deserved a better process. Message parsing, spreadsheets, reporting and controls gave me concrete problems to solve.

AI has widened that scope. I can now take a research question through content development, information design and a working interface. My projects in post-trade readiness, payments regulation and analyst learning are examples of that practice.

What interests me most is the combination: enough subject knowledge to ask a useful question, enough imagination to propose a better arrangement and enough practical initiative to build something that can be examined.

I want to bring that combination to people developing ambitious products and improving consequential systems.
